HEALTHY, HIGHLY EFFICIENT, AND SUSTAINABLE
Our facility is located in the amazing town of Boulder, Colorado. We have been here for over 30 years, and still love it as much as the day we moved from Northern California. We built our own facility on land we own. We have made it as tight as we can, with R20 walls and a R40 ceiling that keep the building warm in the winter and cooler in the summer. We have installed in-floor radiant heat, which uses far less energy than traditional heating systems and runs on solar electricity. Our HVAC systems use cooler outside air to regulate indoor temperatures whenever possible. Our facility is regularly monitored for energy and sustainability, helping us reduce our environmental impact and carry out our commitment to protect the planet.
RESPONSIBLE PRACTICES
LED LIGHTING
We use high efficiency LED lighting throughout our building.
OCCUPANCY SENSORS
We use occupancy sensors to limit energy usage when a room is not in use.
WATER RECIRCULATION
Our hot water recirculation line allows us to use our water heaters less frequently.
SOLAR ENERGY
We are more than 100% powered by solar energy!
EFFICIENT HVAC
All of our HVAC systems are equipped with economizers & ionizers, which further reduces our energy consumption.
FLOOR-CEILING WINDOWS
Floor to ceiling windows in our common areas allow for maximum natural sunlight.
COMPOSTING
As a waste-free facility, we use compost bins for all food waste.
SKYLIGHTS
Our building utilizes over 10 skylights for additional natural light.
INSULATION
We have increased the R-Value of our facility to optimize insulation.
