Bravo BP well done

We’re an older couple with a TINY camper and for our first couple of trips we are eating freeze dried so we don’t have to cook and clean dishes. We decided to do a comparison of two Mac and cheeses that were alternatives to Mountain House. Competitor A is the first picture BP is the second, both prepped similar and were described as dual portions. CA came in at 630 calories total, BP at 860.. on opening the package there was a noticeable difference CA was all noodles with a cheese powder at the bottom of the container, BP the sauce was well integrated with the noodle indicating to me that it was more substantial. 8 minutes into the cooking process CA was still watery feeeling while squishing the poach, not so the BP it had a solid feel while smooshing and resisted my efforts with a pleasing texture. The true surprise was in the opening. While the CA had turned into an approximation of every Mac and cheese from a box, to my suprise ( and delight) there was gooey goodness that was holding the noodles in a delicious matrix. Both brands had completely “cooked the noodles ( I had my doubts). True CA is 4 bucks cheaper but there is a vast difference in the food experience. We’ll done BP!
