This Cajun dish was inspired by the adventurous chefs of the bayous and energetic streets of New Orleans. Our delicious blend of red beans, rice, tomatoes, and onions is perfectly seasoned with Louisiana’s best spices, and packs in 14 grams of protein while being completely vegan and gluten free.
Precooked Dehydrated Red Beans, Precooked Long Grain White Rice, Tomato Powder, Dehydrated Onion, Potato Starch, Dehydrated Chili Pepper, Sea Salt, Cane Sugar, Dried Tomato, Corn Starch, Dehydrated Garlic, Ground Cumin, Oregano, Cayenne Pepper.

1. Remove and discard oxygen absorber.
2. Add 1 1/4 cups (300mL) of boiling water.
3. Stir well, seal pouch, wait 8 minutes.
4. Stir again, reseal, wait 7 more minutes. Enjoy!
Rehydration time doubles every 5,000 feet of elevation gain. Our directions are set for 5,000 feet.

Excellent meal, loved the flavors. However, if they could just increase the contents by about 50%, it'd be a more filling vegan meal.

I used to buy these all the time. I bought like 100 of these a few years ago at an outdoor store in Seattle for $3.49 a bag and haven’t had to re up until now. I add a packet of tuna and some peanuts or a trout if I set up camp at a lake or stream. For $8 a bag this is not worth it at all. I will just be going back to using my oven to dehydrate some cooked rice and beans and bag up servings. Unfortunate.
