Shepherd's Potato Stew with Beef

I purchased Backpackers pantry to try, so I fixed my first meal of Shepherds Potato Stew with with beef and Mashed Potatoes with Beef. Very unpleasant and overwhelming bullion taste

I purchased Backpackers pantry to try, so I fixed my first meal of Shepherds Potato Stew with with beef and Mashed Potatoes with Beef. Once I put them on a plate, the first thing I noticed was a single serving of Mashed potatoes had about 30% more volume than a double serving of Shepherds Stew. I tried them without salt or pepper. The first thing I noticed was a very strong flavor of bouillon, and it was very unpleasant. I tried it again with salt and pepper and they were marginally better

This was not recognizable as food just a uneatable pile of stuff.

Really good dinner and a filling meal while on the trail. Heats up nice and tastes great. Remember to stir up the bottom real good. Higher altitudes mean longer cool times. Enjoy!
