Inspired by authentic Italian cuisine straight from the old country, our Risotto with Chicken is a healthy and nutritious, gourmet freeze-dried camping meal. Protein-packed with over 23 grams of protein, our take on this classic recipe tastes like you’ve been stirring the risotto in a cast-iron skillet for hours. All while keeping the culinary texture and fragrant aroma of this Italian staple in every succulent bite.

Precooked long grain white rice, sauce (parmesan cheese (parmesan cheese (cultured part-skim milk, salt, enzymes), disodium phosphate, salt), nonfat milk, maltodextrin, potato starch, sea salt, garlic, torula yeast, savory soup base (maltodextrin, salt, autolyzed yeast extract, yeast extract, onion powder, silicon dioxide, turmeric extract (color), sunflower oil), onion, dextrose, sugar, black pepper, parsley, basil, gluten-free tamari sauce (tamari sauce (soybeans, salt), maltodextrin, salt)), freeze-dried white chicken meat, broccoli, sweet corn, onion, bell pepper, tomato.

Remove and discard enclosed oxygen absorber before beginning food preparation. Add 2-1/2 cups (600 mL) of boiling water. Stir well. Seal and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Stir and serve. Rehydration time doubles every 5,000 feet of elevation gain. Our directions are set for 5,000 feet. Best By Date on packaging is 10 years from manufacturing date.

Hot or cold a solid meal!

Probably my favorite entre. I do recommend hot of course however had this meal on me on a hike up a 13er. Made camp to realize we had no way to heat our water. Let it hydrate in some fresh mountain lake water for a couple hours and BAM! Lord have mercy if this cold delicious meal wasn't everything I needed. If you're thinkin bout One, buy Six ;)

I was really impressed with the taste of this freeze dried Risotto with Chicken. Took on hunting trip and it was really filling. I figured I would demolish the entire bag myself but I wasn't able to. Next time I'll share.
