Kathmandu Curry
Incredibly good, I was very surprised! Rich flavors and good quantity. Really well made food.
Backpacker's Pantry
Thank you, Carl! We're so glad you enjoyed your Kathmandu Curry!

Try It Youʻll Like It
If you pay attention to the directions you will have enjoyable meals in places you never thought you could. It makes the pack lighter and the food is better. Iʻll keep using these well into the future.

Super yummy
This was delicious. I typically order curry with spice level zero, so this was a little spicier than I'm used to but I still really loved it. I felt good about the energy and nutrition to take on the rest of the trip. I prefer to cold soak my meals so as not to carry cooking supplies. Rice tends to take a little longer to soak but no big deal. Throw the bag in the sun in the meantime and you're ready to rock. I appreciate the durability of backpacker's pantry pouches and am confident of resealing them after opening them, which is comforting.

Kathmandu Curry
Excellent Choice. Healthy with alot of spices and herbs. I would purchase this product again.
delicious warming vegetarian stew
as a vegetarian who eats dairy but not eggs, i’m a bit hard-pressed to find dehydrated meal options that work for me (backpacker’s pantry uses egg white in all their pasta). this was a simple meal i decided to try, due to not many other choices, and one i was not as eager to try (based on some youtube reviews). however, it’s really fantastic! delicious, warming spicy, very satisfying for a hiking lunch on a cool breezy day in vermont. i used a little less water than called for (600ml instead of 650), rehydrated inside a meal cosy, was careful to stir at intervals suggested, added a bit of ghee after i opened the pouch … man. super good is all i can say. this is one i’d be willing to order in bulk packaging, it’s so yummy. it wasn’t completely completely rehydrated (a few ingredients a bit chewy, but their texture was actually really nice) at the end of 8/7 mins, and a bit liquidy, it was really like a slightly soupy, stewish true north indian/nepali curry. i really love this one. thank you, backpacker’s pantry!

Yummy if you like curry
I really enjoy this meal. At first I was like its ok but the more I have eaten, the more it has really grown on me. It rehydrates just fine. It tastes so much better than any meal by Mountain house as they have a funky taste to them. It also tastes like you just cooked it on your stove. I ate plenty of MRE’s in the Army. I prefer these meals over the MRE’s.
Tastes fine, just way too salty
This meal was ok for the most part, but like all of their meals, they really need to dial back on the salt. The flavor was fine. It tasted like a nice curry and wasn't too spicy, but that salt. Oy! I put in about 400mL of water, roughly 260mL less than the recommended amount and the meal was mush. Maybe with a little more water you can get a curry vibe, but at that point, you are just wasting water.
Very tasty
This was a very tasty curry! Hard to tell it was dehydrated -- I rehydrated it with just a smidgeon more water than called for, in my cookpot. Delicious. This was the only dinner meal my wife and I shared on a recent backpacking trip, night temperatures fell to 25F, and this meal didn't quite provide enough calories. Next time I'll *still* have this meal, but follow it with a Snickers bar on cold nights :) Meal highly recommended, and I purchased additional ones.
Delicious
It will warm the soul on a cold night.
Favorite so far!
This one was super hearty. Super yummy. So much food; really helped me out after a long first day backpacking.
Delicious!
Delicious. Shared with my husband and was perfectly satisfied.
Great for camping
I picked this up for my evening meals while on a camping trip. It was full of flavor. It is a tad on the spicy side for me, but not too bad. I would eat it again, but only if I could share it. The double serving is a lot for one person.
Must have for camping!
This vegan curry is THE BOMB! It doesn't even taste like a dehydrated camping meal... it's really good, something I would make at home!
Great Product
I picked this up in a camping store recently - had heard of it and wanted to try it. It is out of sight. Spicy enough to be called a curry and very good. Ordering more now.
