Brandon Mears Solid meal as always. Disappointed they lowered the size of the portions, so you pay more for less now. Still holding onto the older pouches for a rainy day. Nevertheless, a great option to add some variety to your backpacker meals.

Shelley Seslar Easy to eat but boring. Best thing was the cheesy flavor profile was quite good. Hubby sprinkled ground up cheez-its on top to make it 4* (good use for the bits after backpack crushing). A sliced up beef stick would have really pumped it to 5*. I would add some freeze-dried peas for me. Next time! Will buy again since it can be adapted well.

I am sorry to hear you did not love our Three Cheese Mac & Cheese. We kept this meal simple in order to provide a family-friendly meal that even the pickiest eaters can enjoy! However, if you are looking for a more exciting flavor profile, you may prefer our Hatch Green Chile Mac & Cheese.
We also encourage customers to make our meals their own, and love the idea of adding cheez-its, sliced beef, or freeze-dried peas! Yum!

Gabrielle Orsi I’ve tried various brands of backcountry Mac & cheese - this is the one to get. Just avoid adding too much water to avoid getting macaroni soup, and you’ll be enjoying some good cheesy starchiness. I like mine with lots of hot sauce.

R.P.B. I have happily enjoyed this meal for many hikes. I usually split 2 meals into parts for variety and sometimes I use this one for a lunch snack or I have it with fresh caught trout.

Charles L Thayer I have tried a number of dehydrated meals over the last 30 years of backpacking. I have a sensitive stomach and an even more sensitive pallet. I followed the directions on my trip over Albert and Standing Indian Mountains. I did stir this up several times as I heard some reviews about the cheese not mixing thoroughly. It was delicious and will be part of my regular meal rotation moving forward assuming I can find another meal like this that works for me. I did add an olive oil packet as well as let steep in a meal coozy for a little longer than stated, close to 15 minutes. It was the perfect temp despite being in the low 40's for ambient.

G.O. My husband and I have been conducting a “best Mac and cheese” quest. This is definitely one of the best pre-made meals out there, so I keep buying it! Gooey cheesy starch always goes down well when you’re tired after a long day on the trail!

CG Like the other meals, way to much salt. However, the taste was fine. It was cheesy and the pasta was cooked, a little over cooked, but still, cooked. Nothing special to write home about. It didn't fill me up, but then again, I wasn't expecting it to.

Angie This meal is great for a bigger lunch or a lighter dinner. We added the vegetable medley to the mixture to add some veggies into the meal. It was a perfect casserole like combination.
